June download

We lived up the summer month of June and here is a quick fly by of everything we did.

A perfect summer night just chillin, dancing, and splashing

The Smith family in our ward as a beautiful pond that they invite lots of people to many days of the summer. It was a lot of fun to play in the sand and splash around in the water.

Cute girls in summer clothes.

We often play with play-dough and love it! Above is Lucy tasting it for the first time... she wasn't a fan.

We also took a gander at the carnival during the fair and it was about as carnival fun as I remember as a kid. But we did get to go on a few rides and Cora loved it.
I accomplished one of my life long dreams. I donated 11 inches of my hair! I gave it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. And I love having short hair :)

One Sunday afternoon we went to a beautiful drive and stopped to breath in some Now time near this river. It was perfect.

Lucy has been getting some teeth and didn't want me to make any dinner. A Popsicle didn't even help.

Cora turns 3

May 24 Cora celebrated 3 years of life!
We started the birthday celebration a few day early by having a party with her friends.

Below are some pictures of the prep, making the cake and licking the beaters. And then party time. Cora choose what she wanted her cake to look like she choose the colors to be in the middle and said she wanted lots of sprinkles.

And just a few pictures of the cute 3 year old.
<---- the baby geese at the pond
             her first time climbing/sitting in a tree--->

On her actually birthday we made the trek up to Logan again to celebrate with all the family.
We got to Grandma and Grandpa Bischoff's house that evening and Grandma had an other cake to celebrate.
The next morning we got to help Grandma water her beautiful flowers. A very favorite activity

Library and Everyday

Our everyday in May includes a few things playing outside and the library. These pictures are a little taste of the cutest I get to see everyday :)

Just enjoying some milk in the morning.
I remember this moment well, and it is a good example of what we do a fair amount of the day. These are new clothes that we got from a friend for Cora, she put them on and I loved them but then she wanted to change right after the picture, and then change again and again. It is not uncommon for us to go through 10 outfits a day not because they are dirty just because it would look better with her eyes :)

Every week we go to story time in Dolores and always stay after to play in the children area or at the awesome park near by. The pictures above are from May Day, with our flower headbands and some fun foam blocks that the girls love to play with.
Below pictures are on a rodeo day people from the rodeo can and talked all about the animals and what they do, and the rodeo princess came as well :) They brought a fake horse for everyone to climb on and take a picture.
Cora also loves to listen to books on the computer and I love the headphone on her cubby cheeks :)

The final pictures are the geese at pond near our house, we saw these when they were just tiny babys and got to watch them grow up all summer, Cora loved it (this is when they were the awkward teenager geese)
And this is what Cora did one day while I was making dinner, she set up a picnic for all her animals. each had a bowl and a chair to sit in.

Visiting Utah

In May we made two trips up to Utah. Chad was going to be gone for a whole week so the girls and I decide to make the venture by ourselves so that we didn't have to stay home all by our selves :) And my sister Rebecca decided to surprise everyone and also come up from St. George to party all week. It was a blast.

On the first trip up the girls and I had a great time just hanging out, going to Willow Park Zoo, Having Tea Party hosted by Grandma Phillips, Eating at Firehouse/Indian Oven/Charlies :)
Getting nails done by Aunt Cat, reading books in an awesome fort with Aunt Becca, going to Mooches, and getting special bedtime stories with Grandma.

On Both trips we loved again seeing everyone getting lots of loves. We a little less loved the drive, but we made it and Cora feel asleep once holding a sucker and once with a sucker in her mouth.

On the second trip with Dad on the way home we stopped in SLC and went to Temple Square.  It was beautiful and fun to just roam around and let the girls get their last wiggles out :)

It is just beautiful

Lucy Turns One Year Old!

Lucy turned one on May 2, 2013! She is such a great baby we really haven't had any fuss with her just a happy, cubby, calm baby.
For her party we invited a few friends over for cake and ice cream. We had Ben and the Pease family and Hadley and the Patrick family. Everyone had a little bit of a hard time sitting still but we got everyone in :)

The Birthday Girl had a very happy Day
She didn't really know what to do with the presents but the other kids especially Cora helped her figure it out.

Having cake for the first time, She wasn't super excited at first but warmed up pretty quick and ended up eating most of it. She had two kinds of cake chocolate with chocolate frosting and funfetti with funfetti frosting.

Even though she can now how mostly any food she still prefers fruits and vegetables.

Just being cute one morning. My Lucy Lu

And sleeping sound like a baby :)

On May 11 I gave Lucy a fried egg and some raspberries for a snack in the afternoon. After she ate we went outside and were playing on her swing that she got for her birthday. She started scratching at her chest and then we went back inside. The scratching continued and progressed all over her body accompanied by a really red rash that started on her belly.
She was getting drowsy and we decided we should take her to the walk in clinic, so Chad ran her but came back because it was closed. He set her down and she just collapsed to the floor so Chad gave her a Priesthood blessing then took her to the emergency room.
I was going to stay home with Cora so that she wouldn't be just hanging around the ER but I couldn't stand not being there with her. So I my friend Mirissa came and got Cora and I went to be with Lucy. When I walked in she was asleep in Chads arms which is VERY rare, she hardly snuggles with us at all. And her skin was super red.
After a few hours in the ER with her oxygen monitored and some Benedryl in her we found out she is most likely allergic to eggs.  Her skin went back to normal and she was just really sleepy from the meds. They sent us home with some steroids in case it got worse or happened again, but luckly everything was fine and we now know that she is allergic to eggs and raspberries so eating both together is what made the reaction so bad. So we just stay away from both and life is great for this baby :)

A happy note to end with Lucy, enjoying the swing from her birthday. :)
