I have decided to try something new...
The past new months I have taken up a new hobby of sewing and really enjoy it. I am now taking it a step further I have started an Etsy shop.
For those of you who don't know what an Etsy shop is, it is a website that allows you to basically have your store online.
I don't have a ton of stuff on there but will slowly build up my stock. I would also LOVE to do custom orders if you like the style of the dress but would prefer different colors and/or size.
I don't know how successful I will be but I'm not really doing it for the success. I just thought it would be something fun to try and see how it works out.
So go ahead and take a look and let your friends know about me :)
Just click here to preview my site, or on my Banner below.
My shops name is Ms Blue Eyes. Named after the person who has inspired me to create all that I have... Cora Jo.

Super Tuesday
Yesterday morning was not such a great day, by 11:00 all I had accomplished was to spill Cora's bananas all over our carpet, spill my pears/pear juice all over our kitchen floor, poor quality clean up of those, no cleaning of the weekend tornado, and a nap for both Cora and myself because of the waking up every 3 hours the night before.
The afternoon turned out to get a great time, Cora and I had the most fantastic day at the dollar store right in front of our home and a great walk on the semi warm day.
I think all the lack of energy from yesterday morning come in a flood this morning. It is 11:30 and I am just going to give myself a public pat on the back, here is a list of all I have accomplished this morning:
Cleaned our fridge- there was a unknown smell coming from it for the past week so I had to find the source, I took everything out and cleaned it I still am not sure the reason for the smell but I think the smell is gone or else I'm just use to it now :)
Replaced 3 burnt out light bulbs through out our home.
Cleaned/scrubbed our sink AND tub- I hate cleaning the tub/shower.
Cleaned up the usual mess.
Got myself cleaned up and ready.
Made dinner for tonight- lasagna
Cleaned up the dinner mess- (why do you have to do dishes 4 times a day? )
and Gave Cora a bath and got the residue of like 3 days of food out of her hair :)
I am quite happy with the morning and so is Cora. :)
Cora helped me clean the fridge was in hind sight was a bad idea but we got through it then she went down for a nap for the sink/tub/mess/my shower/and some of dinner. I was on a roll and wanted to finished dinner so I just let her play and roam around checking on her every few minutes.
The picture below is how she spent the last 10-15 minutes.
Can I just say it is going to be a good day. And a lot more sitting on my duff and playing with Cora this afternoon. :)

Lots of Cora
We have been going to all the Aggie basketball games, Cora likes them for the most part. Sometimes a.k.a. anytime after about 8:30 she doesn't enjoy them so much. But has been fun to go to the games.
Cora loves playing with all her toys you can see most of her favorites in this picture.
Her doll with the bottle- the only word that has an action associated with it is 'kisses', and the doll gets a kiss every time she is played with.
Noah the Arc- Cora cousin Truman gave her this for Christmas, it is so cute, It comes with pairs of wood animals that go in and out of the boat. They are dragged all over the house.
Train- You can't see this one but it is a train that has 3 balls that go around and around, Cora likes to grab the balls as they go around and then suck on them. It presents a problem because there are 3 balls and she only has 2 hands... when she has one in each hand and the last one is going around you can see the struggle of what to do...
The Rings- You can see the stand for these but these are for sure Cora's favorites, She carries them around everywhere! When she wakes up the first thing she does when I set her down in the living room is grab one and crawl around with it in her hands.
The could pretty much be considered a toy... the Cupboard. Cora gets in and pulls out all the bags. and plays with the crock pot and bread maker that are under there. I should probably put more appropriate toys under there. :)
Eating food by her self. Cora loves to feed herself pretty much anything whether it puffs, bananas, grapefruit, paper, string, or tissue.
Again with the cupboard. The look on her face says enough
Playing with Daddy. This was Chad trying to make her happy when she was breaking down one night. She has been having separation anxiety when ever I leave especially when she is hungry, tired, and I walk out of the room or get up from the table to grab something. Its kinda cute.
The other night Chad was doing homework for the Masters of Human Resources that he started this past month so Cora and I went to the DI. And we hit the jack pot, this little table Cora loved it from the second she saw it. And there was a YM/YW group there that gave us a DI dollar! So it was even better :)
Last of all here is video of Cora's newest trick.
I have no idea what it is but it is cute.
And now my blog is officially all about Cora. She is just to cute nothing else really matters. :)

Quote
I read my Friend McCall's blog the other day and she posted this Poem/quote that I really loved.
So here I am putting it on mine.
So here I am putting it on mine.
LEST WE FORGET
She came tonight as I sat alone
She came tonight as I sat alone
The girl that I use to be...
And she gazed at me with her earnest eye
And questioned reproachfully:
Have you forgotten the many plans
And hopes that I had for you?
The great career, the splendid fame
All wonderful things to do?
Where is the mansion of stately height
With all of it's gardens rare?
The silken robes that I dreamed for you
And the jewels for your hair?
And as she spoke I was very sad,
For I wanted her pleased with me...
This slender girl from the shadowy past
The girl that I use to be.
So, gently arising, I took her hand,
And guided her up the stair
Where peacefully sleeping, my babies lay
Innocent, sweet and fair.
And I told her that these are my only gems,
And precious they are to me;
That silken robe is my motherhood
Of costly simplicity.
And my mansion of stately height is love,
And the only career I know;
Is serving each day in these sheltered walls
For the dear ones who come and go.
And as I spoke to my shadowy guest,
She smiled through her tears at me,
And I saw that the woman that I am now
Pleased the girl that I use to be.

Spare Time
I am pretty sure that Cora knows when I need/want to get something done. I know this from today's experience. I wanted to go up to Campus to see Chad at a Health Expo thing going on that he was helping with. And since we don't really have many things to do/see I thought Cora and I would make a date out of it.
The morning started good and was going as planned until Cora woke up from her nap early, I thought she would sleep until 12 then I would feed her and we could go up to Campus. Unfortunately she woke up at 10:30 then wanted to eat at 11:30 then we ran a dessert over to the church for a funeral, I thought it was still to carry on with our plans, Cora was a bit fussy but I could handle it and she would be happier when we were out and about. But then she fell asleep on our way over to the church.
From there I decided to go home and let her get a quick nap in, since she hasn't been taking naps longer than 2 hours, then we could still make it to the expo....
Well here I am bored out of my mind still waiting for her to wake up :)
I have watched a movie, cleaned the house, fixed a dress for her, and wasted as much time on the internet as i care to.
She is going on 4 hours of sound sleep. I would normally love this any other time (and it is still pretty good today) but I thought today was going to be an out and about day....
Oh well. She should be happy when she does wake up.
Here are few videos I took last night.
Sorry this post ended up being longer than I expected. Now you know my whole day :)
Also it is a beautiful day outside, I have my windows open right now and I love it (I also have my heat on so maybe I should close them )

December Happenings
At the first of this month Chad received a promotion in the Human Resource Department at USU. He is now in charge of the Benefits for all the benefited employs. I am so proud of him.
He has been doing both jobs this whole month but soon will be doing only the benefits, which will be good to not have to do so much. He is really enjoying it.
Cora is now 7 months old, at her 6 month checkup she weighed 18 lbs 2 oz. and was 26 1/2 inches long. She surprises me everyday! About 3 weeks ago she stared rocking on her knees she practiced that for a while and finally started crawling about a week later.
Last Wednesday Ken and Mary Ellen were over at our house and Cora just crawled over to the couch that we were sitting on and put her hands up and pulled her self up and took a few steps towards us. It was crazy, she had only been crawling for like a week.
And as for me I am busy with Cora and Chad :) In my down time I have taken up the hobby of sewing. I have been meaning to post pictures of some of the thing I make, maybe I will get around to it sometime soon.
We had a great Christmas, Christmas Eve was spent at my Mom's house with Part the Phillips Crew (we missed Brian and Toph and their families). Then Christmas morning we drove over to Brigham City to spend Christmas Day with most of the Bischoff Crew (we missed Bruce and his family). It was lots of fun until about 7 o'clock when I started to get really sick, come to find out I had Mastitis but couldn't get prescription because no pharmacy was open until Sunday morning. We ended up staying in Brigham that night due to me laying helpless on the couch. Then to really top off the night Cora's first tooth popped through. Although we didn't know that was the reason she cried from 2:30-4:30, until the next morning. So we had a very eventfully Christmas night.
We are so gratefully for such great families and friends and the opprotunity we have to live so close to most of them so that we can visit often. Thank you all your love and help.
Now for the pictures.
Here is Cora in her Christmas Dress... She was the cutest baby at Church (all bias left out :) )
These PJ's are so cute, they make Cora Jo into a little present. So after her bath one night we put her under the tree.
Here is her first present from Grandma Phillips, she was excited about it even though she may not look it in this picture.

Eating, Crawling, and growing
Cora is getting older and bigger every day. I can't believe it, she is now eating green beans and carrots and loving it.
She was sick for about a month and a half and is finally over it and feeling all the way better. First she had an eye infection then a week later we went back in to the doctor to find out she then had a whole pool of infection that was affecting her eyes, nose, ears, and throat. So we got an antibiotic, once we finished that on she was ok for a few day then started feeling sick again so we took her back in for the third time. Then to find out she still had a sinus infection so we got another stronger antibiotic. Now we are finally done with pinning Cora down and shoving medicine down her throat.
She is also getting up on her hands and knees and rocking and every once in a while face plant it trying to move forward.
I shot this video last week after she was eating. She makes this face when she is both mad and excited. We love her more everyday.
On another note my greatest sister named Emily Huff took our family pictures a while ago and here are a few of our favorites.
